Whether you are visiting our office for a routine dental care check up or you are experiencing an unfortunate tooth ache, it is our commitment to make your dental care as affordable as possible.
What to Expect
Knowing what to expect on a financial level can make things easier for you as well as for us. Our financial coordinator can review the financial portion of your dental care and determine the best means for you to pay for your dental care.
We file all your dental insurance claims. If you do have dental insurance, we will work with you to ensure that you receive the maximum benefits to which you are entitled.
We offer a convenient, monthly payment program called Care Credit. Care Credit offers 2 types of plans: a no interest plan OR a low interest plan. We have had great luck with it and look forward to telling you all about it!
Our financial policy states that we do expect payment at the time of service. For your convenience, we have a Financial Coordinator that will work with you to discuss Care Credit as an option when payment at the time of service is not convenient for you.
Payment is expected at the time of service. If you have insurance, you will be expected to make an estimated payment for the portion not covered by your insurance plan. For that portion of costs not covered by insurance, we offer several payment options:
- Cash or Personal Check
- Credit Card – We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover
- CareCredit Medical/Dental Card – CareCredit offers 3-, 6- and 12-month interest-free payment plans, and extended financing up to 48 months. You can apply in our office or apply online.
We’ve Got You Covered
At Bauer and Howard Dental Care we’re committed to helping you get the most from your dental insurance coverage.
We are happy to file your insurance claims for you, so please bring in your insurance plan information with you on your first visit. We will work with you to ensure that you receive the maximum benefits to which you are entitled. Regardless of your insurance coverage, you will be given an estimate of your dental charges and our best estimate of your insurance co-payment obligation. If you require a more specific predetermination of benefits we are happy to file a predetermination of benefits with your insurance company. Just remember that insurance is a contract between you and your insurance company. We will bill your insurance as a courtesy; you will be expected to pay for your dental care at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made with our financial coordinator.
We must emphasize that as your dental care provider, our relationship is with you, our patient, NOT your insurance company. Most plans routinely pay 50-75% of dental fees. This percentage is pre-determined by the plan your employer has purchased for you.
