I-CAT 3D Imaging
Our iCAT Cone Beam 3D Dental Imaging System allows our doctors to provide quick, comfortable, and effective dental imaging for the most precise dental health diagnosis possible. iCAT technology provides 3D data for Dental Implants, Wisdom teeth extractions, Impactions, TMJ treatment, and full facial and jaw 3D images.
Patients can take advantage of a more complete dental treatment plan with iCAT imaging. Special features for patients include:

Digital X-rays
Hastings Family Dental use digital x-ray technology. When using digital x-rays, a sensor is used in the mouth instead of a traditional photographic film. With digital x-rays, a diagnostic view of the tooth appears instantaneously on a computer monitor. This image can be enhanced and enlarged with our dental software so you can see what the dentist sees. Using digital x-rays also decreases the amount of radiation a patient is exposed to by 90%!
Intraoral Camera
An Intraoral camera is an advanced piece of diagnostic equipment used by Hastings Family Dental to allow you, the patient, to see what we see inside of your mouth. The “wand” that is placed in your mouth has a tiny video camera and light that allows you to see previous restorations, healthy teeth, decayed or cracked teeth all on a computer monitor. Hastings Family Dental can then print images off for you to see. They can also use them when developing your treatment plan.

Manufactured in the United States by Glidewell Dental, the fastmill.io™ In-Office Unit is a 4-axis computer-controlled mill that encapsulates technologies originally developed for the laboratory production floor in a form that fits comfortably in the dental practice.
iTero Scanner
At Hastings Family Dental we can create a 3D image of your teeth in just minutes using an iTero scanner. Benefits of iTero scanner over traditional methods:

Diagnodent
The Diagnodent is a new high tech laser system that helps to detect chewing surface cavities at the earliest stage possible. The Diagnodent is a pen-like probe that uses a painless laser light to detect changes in tooth structure and displays them on a digital scale readout. This allows our doctors to determine if decay if lurking beneath the apparently healthy tooth surface. By using light energy there is no x-ray exposure thus no danger posed to the patient or dentist. It helps us to detect the invisible!
Zoom!
A whiter brighter smile can make a big difference for everyone. The Zoom! In-Office Whitening System is ideal for anyone who wants immediate whitening results. ZOOM! In-Office Whitening is basically a “jump start” for the busy individual who doesn’t want to mess with days of wearing trays and gradual whitening. The Zoom! Whitening process utilizes a scientifically formulated pH balanced Hydrogen Peroxide that, when activated by the Zoom! light, gently penetrates the teeth to remove deep stains and discoloration. With proper care and an occasional touch-up at home, your whiter smile will sparkle for years.
