Sedation Dentistry

DOCS logoYour smile is one of the first things people notice. If fear, a bad dental experience, or an aversion to needles has kept you from having the smile you'd like then Sedation Dentistry is for you! Once you are aware of what Sedation Dentistry is and it's availability, you will feel more comfortable to pursue that smile you've always wanted.

Sedation Dentistry allows you to be sedated just enough to be unaware of your dental treatment. You will have little or no memory of what was accomplished during your dental visit.

Because you are completely relaxed, we can correct, improve or restore years of dental problems (concerns) in one or two visits. This alone is beneficial not only to people who fear dental work but also to people with busy schedules. We can comfortably eliminate decay and old black fillings, extract diseased teeth and wisdom teeth, restore sore gums to good health, whiten yellow or stained teeth, fix a chipped tooth, eliminate the pain from an infected tooth and more. Imagine being able to smile with confidence and chew your food without pain.

moonHow Does Sleep Dentistry Work?

You are given a small pill to take an hour prior to your dental appointment. A companion will accompany you to our office and by the time you arrive for your dental care you may be very drowsy.

A dental assistant will take special care in getting you seated in a cushioned dental chair made specifically for Sleep Dentistry. She will cover you with a warm blanket, place a monitor on you and watch your vital signs. After you are comfortably sedated, Dr. Bauer or Dr. Howard and his experienced clinical team will take care of your dental needs. Upon completion of your dental care, you will be assisted home by your companion where you will probably sleep another 3-6 hours.
